Leadership Lexington County is now accepting applications for the 2013 class year and is open to individuals who either live or work in Lexington County.
Deadline for receipt of applications is Oct.19.
The basis for this program is to provide “leaders” from a wide range of local organizations, agencies and the private sector an opportunity to become educated in all aspects of past and current issues facing Lexington County.
During this course, we will take you throughout Lexington County as instruction is provided in county and municipal governments, public safety, political systems, businesses, economic development, finance and much, much more. You will engage in enrichment activities and in some instances receive a behind the scenes tour of our meeting location. This program provides the opportunity for you to enhance your personal and professional development.
Not only will you be educated in Lexington County happenings, but you will also interact with a diverse group of people and establish unbeatable networking tools and wonderful friendships. This program is designed for those interested in learning more about Lexington County and willing to commit to a full one-day entrance retreat to be held January 25, 2013, as well as attending monthly sessions to be held on the third Wednesday of each month beginning Feb. 20, 2013, through June 6, 2013. Classes will begin at 8 a.m. and end at approximately 6 p.m.
