How would students change schools to prepare students to be more innovative? What is happening in schools today to prepare students to be critical thinkers and collaborators?
These are questions that the South Carolina Education Oversight Committee is asking students across the state.
Middle and high school students are invited to use video to share their ideas about innovation in schools.

The 2012 Video Contest is open to students attending any South Carolina middle or high school whether public, private or home school.
“In order to succeed in today’s world, students must know how to be innovators. They must know how to take risks and think critically about problems and solutions,” Melanie Barton, EOC’s executive director, said in a release. “We are interested in getting ideas from young people about what innovation looks like, or should look like, in today’s schools.”
