Ascot Subdivision Under Boil Water Advisory

Residents living in Ascot between Kennerly Road and Hollingshed Road should boil water for at least one minute before drinking or cooking.

The City of Columbia Water Works is advising customers in part of the Ascot Subdivision in Richland County to boil their water before use after a 12-inch water line break Wednesday.

Residents living in Ascot between Kennerly Road and Hollingshed Road should boil water for at least one minute before drinking or cooking. 

Any ice made from water that has not been boiled should not be used for drinking.

Any residents near the affected area who have lost water and/or water pressure are also advised to boil their water prior to use. 

Work is under way to resolve the problem.
