UPDATED: Authorities Search for Missing Prosperity Man
Walter Hawkins Jr., also known as "Tom," has been missing from his Prosperity home since 6 p.m. Friday.

Updated, 10:55 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013: Newberry County investigators are now searching for the half brother of a Prosperity man who was reported missing Saturday morning.
Investigators say Daryl Richburg, 49, of Prosperity, may have been with Walter Hawkins Jr. (pictured), 56, around 11 p.m. Friday night.
Hawkins, also known as “Tom," was reported missing by family members after he couldn't be found for work.

He was last seen at his home around 6 p.m. on Friday, police said.
Authorities say there is no confirmed direction of travel or description of clothing for Hawkins at this time.

Hawkins is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds. He has a breathing condition that he takes medication for and uses supplied oxygen when needed.

Original story: The Newberry County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man reported missing after he couldn't be found for work.
Authorities say Walter Hawkins Jr., also known as “Tom," was reported missing by family members Saturday morning from 126 Richburg Lane, Prosperity.
Both the family and investigators have searched the home and the surrounding area, and have not been able to find 56-year-old Hawkins.
Hawkins was last seen at his home around 6 p.m. on Friday.
