Black Friday Shopping: Tips, Store Hours

It's that time of year again, where people will get up before dawn and stand in long lines to get the best deal on electronics, toys, clothing and more. Irmo-Seven Oaks Patch has gathered some quick tips to help make your shopping experience a little better. Patch has also compiled a list of store hours in the Irmo-Seven Oaks area.

Some helpful tips

• Plan ahead. Try to plan out your shopping list and the stores you want to shop you want to go to. Know how much you want to spend. Budget.

• Dress comfortably. You may be spending some long hours on your feet, so wear some comfortable shoes. This is no time to look cute, so throw on some sweats.

• Be patient. Try to be patient and don't cut lines. We all want to be the first ones at the door and at the register. We know you only had two or three hours of sleep but there are a lot of people in the same position. Waiting should be expected. Let's try to keep the shopping a fun experience. 

The following is a list of some of the stores that will have special hours for Black Friday shopping.

Columbiana Centre

Normal shopping hours on Wednesday are from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The mall is closed Thanksgiving Day. The mall reopens at 6 a.m. Friday and closes at 10 p.m.  On Saturday, the mall opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m. The mall resumes normal shopping hours on Sunday.

Santa hours: Today until 8 p.m.; After Thanksgiving hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Breaks are from 1 to 2 p.m. and 5 to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and on Sundays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.)
