Update: A boil water advisory issued for the Foxboro Hills subdivision has been repealed.
Residents in the 600 and 700 block of Beech Branch Drive and Keyspur Court no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking or cooking.
Bacteriological samples were collected and analyzed by the Columbia Water Works following an "intense flushing of the distribution system."

The water supply was determined to be safe to use for drinking and cooking purposes.

The advisory was issued after an 8-inch water main broke that could result in bacterial contamination of the water for residents of the 600 and 700 block of Beech Branch Drive and Keyspur Court, according to the Columbia Water Works.
Residents should continue to boil their water for at least one minute prior to drinking or cooking until otherwise notified. Any ice made from water that has not been boiled should not be used for drinking.
Anyone living near the affected area who lost water and/or water pressure, should also boil their water for at least one minute.
