Boil Water Advisory Issued for Friarsgate Subdivision

The city has issued a boil water advisory for some residents in the subdivision.

Some residents in the Friarsgate subdivision should boil their water before drinking or cooking, the City of Columbia announced Tuesday night.

The city issued an advisory for residents who live in the 1000 and 1100 blocks of Friarsgate Boulevard.

A 12-inch water main break in the area could possibly result in bacterial contamination of the water, according to a press release from the city.
