A Newberry County judge has denied bond for a Prosperity man accused of killing his brother.
Daryl Richburg, 49, of Prosperity, was denied bond by a Magistrate Court judge on Monday, according to a report from the Newberry Observer.

The Newberry County Coroner's Office determined Hawkins was beaten and died of a laceration of the brain due to a closed head injury, the report said. (Read more here.)
Hawkins was reported missing by family members on March 2.

Newberry County investigators said they suspected foul play may have been involved after evidence of blood was found near Hawkins' Richburg Drive home.
Authorites arrested Richburg on March 3 after some family members saw him in a wooded area near the home.
The motive for the killing appears to have been a domestic related argument between the two men, investigators said.
