Live: Day 10 of the Brett Parker Murder Trial
A Richland County Sheriff's Department investigator spent hours on the stand Tuesday in the Brett Parker murder trial.

A Richland County Sheriff's deputy who testified Tuesday in the Brett Parker murder trial said he found inconsistencies in Brett Parker's story about what happened on the day his wife and gambling partner were found dead inside his Irmo home, according to reports.
The investigator said video shows Brett Parker didn't call 911 until 11 minutes after his gambling parnter, Bryan Capnerhurst, went in the Parkers' house on the day of the shootings in April 2012, according to The State. But Brett Parker told investigators that Capnerhurst started shooting just a minute after entering the house.
The investigator spent five hours on the stand Tuesday, according to The State, and pointed out numerous things about Brett Parker's story that did not add up.

Brett Parker originally told investigators that Capnerhurst shot his wife, Tammy Parker, and he then acted in self-defense and shot Capnerhurst.
But prosecutors say Brett Parker shot his wife and Capnerhurst as part of a plan to collect more than $1 million in insurance money to pay off his gambling debt and get out of his marriage.

Tammy Parker's father, Jerry Carswell, also testified Tuesday, according to WLTX. He told the jury he and his daughter had joked about the payout on her life insurance policy before she died.
The trial resumes Wednesday morning.
