UPDATE: Police Have 3 Suspects in Custody
Irmo Police said the boy was home sick from school and was staying by himself, when a trio of people attempted to break in to the home.

Irmo police say they have arrested all three people suspected of breaking into a home where a 13-year-old was home alone.
Police said all suspects were in custody around 4 p.m.

ORIGINAL REPORT: A 13-year-old home sick from school is safe after an attempted burglary at his home.
Irmo police were called to the home Thursday afternoon near the intersection of Archers Lane and Valleywood Court.

The boy called his mother after he heard a rustling in another part of the house and she called 911, WLTX reported.
One person has been arrested and police are looking for two others, the station reported.
