Chapin Man Killed in 5 Points Collision
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts released the name of a 24-year-old killed in Five Points on Saturday.
A Chapin man has been identified as the pedestrian killed Saturday while trying to cross a street in Five Points.
Justin A. Timmerman, 24, was hit and killed by a vehicle while attempting to cross Harden Street around 4:15 a.m. Saturday, Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said in a release Sunday.
Timmerman died at the scene from injuries sustained in the collision, according to the release.

A 24-year-old Columbia man has been charged in the incident, The State reports.
William Holt Carlen was charged with felony driving under the influence causing death, driving under suspension and failure to surrender driver's license and registration, according to booking reports.
