Chapin Man, Woman Charged with Manufacturing Meth After Traffic Stop

The two Chapin residents were pulled over for a traffic stop in Lexington last week, according to a police report.

A Chapin man and woman are facing drug charges after Lexington Police found materials used to make meth in their car during a traffic stop last week.

Bradley Thomas Barrett, 26, and Danielle Nell Sisk, 23, are each charged with manufacturing meth and possession of a schedule III substance, according to a report from the Lexington Police Department. They were also cited for concealed weapons and possession of drug paraphernalia.

An officer initiated a traffic stop on an SUV on North Lake Drive around 2 a.m. Wednesday because he noticed it drifting within its lane and noticed one brake light was out, according to the report. The SUV stopped near Herndon Chevrolet.

The officer identified the driver as Barrett and the passenger as Sisk, according to the report. The officer noticed an open bottle of Smirnoff Ice in the center console. When he opened the passenger door, an unopened bottle of Smirnoff Ice fell out.

Officers searched the SUV and Barrett and Sisk and found several items used to make meth, including fish pumps and tubing, Coleman fluid, liquid fire, ACE propane, a pill grinder and a blister pack of pseudoephedrine, according to the report.

The officers also found a machete, two four-inch knives, one eight-inch knife, two black pocket knives, an orange pocket knife, a red razor knife, a silver straight razor, a black sawed-off shotgun, a brown 12-gauge, a black shotgun and a pellet gun.

Sisk is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center on bond totaling $14,685, and Barrett is being held on bond totaling $32,185.
