A woman has been charged with nine counts of obtaining goods under false pretense after she claimed she was selling raffle tickets for cancer fundraiser.
The Chapin Police Department arrested a woman who claimed she was selling raffle tickets for a cancer fundraiser but kept the money for herself.
Donna M. Winn has been charged with nine counts of obtaining goods under false pretense.
Police said Winn, who claimed she worked at the University Of South Carolina, was selling raffle tickets in Chapin and even gave the name of an individual that had cancer.

According to reports, Winn later said that she was selling the tickets privately.
Blank copies of the raffle tickets were found in Winn's vehicle with various amounts printed on them, police said Monday.

Winn later said she was going through a divorce and was using the money for her personal use.
Winn was taken to the Lexington County Detention Center. She has been released on a $2000 surety bond.
