News release
The Chapin Young Professionals is hosting a Fall Relaunch Party on Saturday, October 26beginning at 5:30 pm at the Greater Chapin Chamber of Commerce (302 Columbia Avenue). The event will feature an Oyster Roast, Low Country Boil, beer and wine tastings and college football on TV.
The Chapin Young Professionals (YP) is part of the Chapin Chamber of Commerce. According to Chamber Executive Director Karen Owens, the group started last year with a couple of after-hours events to get younger business professionals an opportunity to meet one another, network and create a greater sense of community. “Sometimes we take for granted that young people just starting their business careers understand or appreciate the value that Chambers can have in building up contacts needed for success. The YPs are important because they are the future leaders of our community. We want them to do well and by providing them with opportunities to network, build their professional skills and promote community activism, we hope we are contributing to the ongoing success of Chapin.”

Sponsored by Scott Hanners’ State Farm, organizers Lauren Deloach and Jerrod Ewing hope YPs will come out and enjoy a fun evening on the Chamber House grounds and make some new friends that will help build their network of contacts. “There will be great food, and RJ Rockers Brewery will be providing a beer tasting. It’s an away weekend for Clemson and Carolina but we’ll have college football on TV so we hope we’ll have a great turnout,” explained Deloach.
Tickets are $8 at the door, but if you register online through their Chapin Young Professionals Facebook page your admission is $5. For more information, contact Deloach at 803-622-6454.
