Child Injured After Truck Hits Bus
The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported a truck hitting a bus on Staffwood Drive near Irmo.
A truck driver was charged with improper start from a stop after driving into the back of a school bus causing one child to recieve minor injuries.
The State reports the truck driver was behind a Lexington-Richland 5 school bus that stopped to let a student off on Staffwood Drive when the driver drove forward colliding with the bus' rear, according to the report.
There were 16 students on the bus, one of which reported being injured. The child that got off the bus was not harmed.
