Community Input Sought on Magnet School Concept
Lexington-Richland 5 is looking for input on a plan for magnet school expansion in the district.

Lexington-Richland 5 is seeking the opinions of students, parents, and employees to help develop a district-wide magnet school plan to expand choice options across the district.
Magnet Schools, which are public schools of choice serving children at all grade levels, offer a distinctive curriculum on themes such as performing arts to engineering.
The district has developed three surveys (that take no longer than 15 minutes to complete) to gauge interest from the community, determine where the magnet schools will be located, and what themes will be offered. Responses will also be used to develop a proposal for grant funding to support the district’s magnet initiative.
