Coroner Identifies Irmo Man Killed in Koon Road Crash
Ronald P. Woodard, 65, died Wednesday night after his truck ran off the side of the road and struck a ditch then a utility pole before overturning.

Ronald P. Woodard, 65, of Irmo was the driver of a Ford pickup involved in a single-vehicle crash on Koon Road Wednesday night, the Richland County Coroner's Office said.
The wreck happened around 10 p.m. on Koon Road near Coogler Road.
Woodard was driving , S.C. Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Brent Kelly said.

Woodard, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy report shows that Woodard died from trauma associated with the crash, Coroner Gary Watts said in a release.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
