Deputies Charge 2 More in Piney Grove Road Hotel Shooting
Both Darius Isaiah Foster, 18, and a 15-year-old are accused of attempted murder after a shooting in a hotel parking lot near Irmo.

Lexington County deputies charged two more suspects in connection with a shooting at a Piney Grove Road hotel near Irmo.
The shooting that left two men wounded happened in the parking lot of the Country Inn and Suites on Piney Grove Road on January 10.

Darius Isaiah Foster, 18, of Columbia, turned himself in to authorities Wednesday afternoon, and was charged with attempted murder and armed robbery.
Foster was being held at the Lexington County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.

Foster is also wanted by the Irmo Police Department on charges of armed robbery and possessing a weapon during the commission of a violent crime in an unrelated case.
A 15-year-old from Columbia also turned himself in to authorities on Wednesday.
The teen is being held at a pre-trial detention facility until he appears in family court for a hearing. Detectives said they would recommend to the 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office that the teen be prosecuted in family court on a charge of attempted murder.

Toland is being held at the county Detention Center. A Lexington County magistrate denied Toland’s request to post bond while Toland awaits trial.
Police said around 7:10 p.m. on January 10, Toland, Foster and the teen drove to the Country Inn parking lot to meet with three men over a drug deal involving marijuana.
The men got into a fight and two of the men were shot, detectives said.
Denzell Labrew, 18, and Hakiim Rasheed Pope Jr., 24, both of Columbia, were taken to a local hospital.
Pope was treated at the hospital and released. Labrew remains hospitalized to receive treatment for his non life-threatening injuries.
The shooting remains under investigation and additional charges could be filed.
