Deputies Charge Man in Irmo, Chapin Robberies
Joseph Russell, 32, is charged with two counts of armed robbery.

Richland County deputies arrested a 32-year-old man Wednesday who they say robbed two people at gunpoint in the driveways of their homes in the Irmo and Chapin area.
Joseph Russell is charged with two counts of armed robbery.
Russell is accused of knocking a woman to the ground in her driveway on Harbor Mist Road in Irmo Monday and stealing her purse. He is also accused of following a man to his home on Leamington Circle in Chapin Saturday and stealing his money.

Deputies say Russell used one of the victim's credit cards at a local business.
Russell was arrested Wednesday at his home in Irmo after a deputy spotted him and noticed that he matched the description of the robbery suspect.
