Deputies Search for Man in West Columbia Robbery

Detectives need the public's help in finding a man accused of robbing a West Columbia convenience store.

Lexington County Sheriff's detectives are looking for a man they say robbed a convenience store in West Columbia Tuesday night.

A white male entered the Kangaroo Express convenience store at 3950 Augusta Road and asked to use the restroom, according to a incident report from the Lexington County Sheriff's Department.

The store's clerk told the man that there was no public restroom. The man then came around the counter and told the clerk he wanted all of money in the cash register.

He then left the store with the money.

Witnesses describe the suspect as having dark brown hair, between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighing between 120 to 140 pounds.
