Detectives Search for Three Suspects in Home Burglaries

Lexington County Sheriff's detectives search for three men who broke into two homes near Irmo and stole electronic equipment.

Lexington County Sheriff’s detectives need your help in identifying three men who allegedly broke into two homes near Irmo.

At about 12 p.m. on Aug. 9, two homes — one on Baffin Bay Road and one on Lambeth Court — were burglarized, according to a sheriff's department release. 

Detectives say three men stole electronic equipment including televisions, computers and video game consoles from the two homes.

A photo released by the sheriff's department Tuesday, shows a white Dodge sedan, possibly a 2002 Dodge Stratus, that police say the three men used in committing the burglaries. The sedan may have a dent on rear end of the driver's side. 

The photo was taken by a citizen after seeing the car parked outside one of the homes.

Witnesses decribe the suspects as three black males between the ages of 20 and 30.

Each of the three men were broad-shouldered and weighed about 250 pounds, according to the departmen. One of the men had long braids in his hair.
