Lexington-Richland 5 is inviting the public to a groundbreaking ceremony for the renovations and expansion project at Chapin High School.

The base bid was $43.4 million with four alternates ranging from $101,500 to $1,080,000, for mechanical changes and duct board replacement to an alternate plan for the administration area.
The Chapin High School project is part of the district's 2008 bond referendum.
