Dutch Fork High Teacher Removed from Classroom Over Political Sign

A Dutch Fork High School teacher has been removed from her government class after complaints about a political sign posted in the classroom, The State reports.

The sign read, "The road to hell is paved with Democrats."

WLTX first reported on Wednesday about the sign after receiving a picture taken by a student.

Laurie Humphrey, a social studies teacher, has been removed from the classroom while Lexington-Richland 5 investigates the incident, according to the report.

The district does have a policy related to political campaign materials and staff participation in political activities.
