Dutch Fork Middle Take Sixth Place in State Science Olympiad
This was the first year that the school participated in the South Carolina Science Olympiad at Newberry College.

Dutch Fork Middle School students finished 6th overall and earned several individual awards in this year’s South Carolina Science Olympiad at Newberry College on Feb. 23.
This was the first year that the school participated in the event. The state Science Olympiad is a part of a national competition in which students tested their math and science skills in written tests and projects.
Dutch Fork Middle's team was coached by Alan Lominack, a science teacher at the school.

“The performance of the Dutch Fork Middle School team is a testament to the hard work of the students and staff, and we congratulate them for this outstanding accomplishment,” said Leann Iacuone, District Coordinator of Science Instruction.
