Lexington Community Day

Lexington County Sheriff’s Department and the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission will hold a Community Day at Seven Oaks Park from 8am - 2:30pm Saturday.

The event will include static displays by the Sheriff’s Department Bike Patrol, Crime Prevention Unit, Bomb Squad, K-9 Unit and Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT).

Members of the Sheriff’s Department Explorers Post also  will prepare fingerprint identification cards for children who are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources will set up a video simulator for fishing and there also will be a rock climbing wall, dunking booth and booth where Best Buy employees will demonstrate electronics equipment. In addition, East Coast Truck and Trailer Repair will display 10 sports cars and older model motor vehicles.
