Fire Damages McAlister's Deli Near Harbison
The blaze caused thousands of dollars of damage.
An early-morning fire at the McAlister's Deli near Harbison caused more than $350,000 in damage, according to the Columbia Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to the restaurant on Columbiana Drive around 5 a.m. Officials say the fire started because of an electrical short from a commercial appliance.
No one was injured.

The restaurant will re-open as soon as possible, said Yaron Goldman, CEO of SD Holdings, LLC, the franchisee of the Columbiana Drive restaurant. Contractors will be at the site tomorrow to begin the process of reconstruction.
