Funerals for Man, Woman Killed in Irmo Double-Shooting Held Tuesday

The funerals of Tammy Parker and Bryan Capnerhurst to be held today in Irmo and Gilberty, respectively.

The funeral services for two Lexington County residents killed in the will be held today. 

Tammy Parker, 44, and Bryan Capnerhurst, 46, were both found dead in Parker's home at Tackeria Court on April 13 with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. 

Authories say Capnerhurst was invited to the home and that the incident was not a home invasion.

Information on the motive for the shootings have not been released. The Richland County Sheriff's Department did on Monday that said Tammy Parker's husband, Brett, was waiting outside the home when police arrived. 

Authories also said were used in the incident but no information has been release of who was shot first.

Charges have yet to be filed. 

The service for Parker, who is survived by her husband, Brett Parker, and two children, will be held at 12 p.m. at Riverland Hills Baptist Church with the burial to follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, according to her obituary in The State.

Parker was the lead singer of The Jumpstart Band and a pharmaceutical representative. 

Capnerhurst, a Michigan native, was the assistant athletic director for the Lexington County Recreation and Aging Commission and a coach in the Dixie Youth Baseball League, according to his obituary

His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at Beulah United Methodist Church in Gilbert. 

Capnerhurst is survived by his wife, Cindy, and three children.
