Irmo Okra Strut Festival

The 39th annual Irmo Okra Strut Festival starts Friday night with a street dance featuring Rob Crosby and Mustand Sally. On Saturday, start the morning off with the annual parade at 9 a.m. then head to the Irmo Town Park for amusement rides, local vendors and OKRA!

Wine & Waltzes with a Touch of Italy

The Lake Murray Symphony Orchestra is hosting its annual gala, Wine & Waltzes with a Touch of Italy, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the River Center at Saluda Shoals Park. Tickets are available at the door for $50 per person. The event includes dinner, a silent auction and live entertainment. Proceeds will benefit the Lake Murray Symphony Orchestra.

All Hands on Deck!

The Harbison Theatre is offering another great show this weekend. All Hands on Deck! features singers, dancers, comedians and a nine-piece orchestra. All Hands on Deck! is based on comedian and actor, Bob Hope's 1942 USO tour to entertain troops. 

Sunday

Soggy Doggy Day

Take the family — including man's best friend — to Saluda Shoals Park for Soggy Doggy Day. There will be exhibitors and activities for the family to enjoy. 

 

Bonus: The 5th Annual Italian Festival and Bocce Tournament is from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday on Main Street in Columbia.
