Guns Stolen From Cayce Police Chief's Car

The weapons were taken late Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

Authorities are investigating after two guns were stolen from a Midlands police vehicle.

According to the Associated Press, two guns were reported stolen from Cayce Police Chief Charles McNair's vehicle.

The weapons were taken between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning while the vehicle was parked outside McNair's home.

AP reports a .40-caliber Glock handgun, a Remington 12-gauge pump action shotgun and a $600 bulletproof vest were among the items taken.
