High School Football: Dutch Fork Heads to First State Title Game

The Silver Foxes will play Gaffney on Saturday at 3 p.m. in Columbia.

For the first time in the program's history, the Dutch Fork High Silver Foxes will be playing in the state title game on Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium. 

Dutch Fork defeated White Knoll 28-11 Friday to advance to the final round of Class 4A Division I football.

During a press conference Monday at the S.C. High School League, Coach Tom Knotts discussed the team's season and playing in the state championship against the Gaffney Indians. See attached video for highlights of the conference.

On playing against Gaffney, Knotts said, "It's going to be a fun game. They're a great team."

"We're probably the underdogs, but we don't mind being that."

Dutch Fork has won nine consecutive games since. Sept. 28.

The Silver Foxes (11-3) will play Gaffney (11-3) at 3 p.m. in Columbia.
