Deputies Arrest Four After Two Meth Lab Discoveries
Lexington County Sheriff's Department deputies arrested four suspects over the weekend for manufacturing methamphetamine.
Four people were arrested over the weekend after Lexington County Sheriff's Department deputies found two methamphetamine labs.
Deputies were called to a home on Meadowfield Road in Gaston at 1 a.m. on Monday, after receiving a report from the homeowner that her son was illegally cooking meth, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
When deputies arrived the suspect, identified as Jeremy Payton McVey, 18, had already fled the scene.

Deputies later found and arrested McVey and Robert Michael Taylor, 41, of Gaston.
Both McVey and Taylor were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of less than one gram of meth.

McVey was released from the Lexington County Detention Center on Monday, according to a booking report.
On June 8, deputies were dispatched to a home on Charles Town Road.
Upon arrival the deputy noticed an odor consistent with the smell of methamphetamine. Deputies arrested James F Hallock, 42, of 2117 Charles Town Road without incident.
Deputies also arrested David Alan Jennings, 42, and James F Hallock, 42, but not without one of them losing his shorts.
Jennings attempted run from deputies but was a caught when his shorts fell down around his ankles causing him to fall to the ground, according to the department.
Jennings was arrested without further incident.
Both Hallock and Jennings were charged with manufacturing meth.
