Irmo Council to Address Parking Ordinance, New Tow Park Contracts

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Municipal Building, 7300 Woodrow Street in Irmo.

Irmo Council members will take a second look at an amendment to an ordinance aimed at addressing complaints of vehicles being parked on residential lawns at a regular meeting Tuesday night. 

The amendment could prohibit residents from parking vehicles on lawns and restrict parking to designated areas.

Other agenda items include approval of a contract in the amount of $114,059 for playground equipment and installation for the new town park located on Eastview Drive; approval of a contract in the amount of $999,500 to construct the new park; and several items concerning the Okra Strut Festival and commission.
