Irmo native Will Washington has become a leader in the state's hip-hop movement, according to a story in The State.

Producing beats as WillPower, Washington hopes to put the state on the hip-hop map, nationally.

WillPower is listed as a producer on albums along with Eminem and J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League.

According to the article, WillPower's talents have been sought out by artisits and can be heard in "a harrowing piano riff accented by static-like flourishes of muffled sound bursts — underneath verses by Eminem, Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf on “2.0 Boys,” a song that announced Eminem’s new team.
