Irmo Man Killed in I-77 Wreck
The S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 77 in Fairfield County.

An Irmo man was killed after a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 77 northbound in Fairfield County on Monday, The State reports.
The crash occurred around 2:50 p.m. when the driver of a 2008 Volvo tractor with a trailer struck the rear of a 2000 Honda, S.C. Highway Patrol trooper Billy Elder said.
The truck then went off to the right side of the road and struck a guard rail causing the tractor to overturn, Elder said.

The truck driver, who was wearing a seat belt, died from his injuries, according to the report.
His name has not been released by the Fairfield County Coroner's Office.

The driver of the Honda was identified by the highway patrol as Janet Bunch, 56, of Fort Mill. It was not known whether Bunch was injured in the incident.
Elder said one of the lanes on I-77 was closed for about four hours after the collision.
The collision is being investigated by the Highway Patrol.
