Irmo Police Investigate Convenience Store Robbery
The incident happened at the Kangaroo Express, 317 B Royal Tower Drive on April 19.

The Irmo Police Department is investigating a strong armed robbery at a local convenience store.
A white female, who the victim said appeared intoxicated, entered the Kangaroo Express located at 317 B Royal Tower Drive on April 19 with a white male, according to an incident report.
The store employee told police she got into an argument with the suspects when she told them the price of the items they placed on the counter.

The victim said she told the suspects to leave the store. The male suspect threatened to hit her, the store employee said, before walking away.
The female suspect grabbed the unpaid merchandise and began walking toward the front door. The victim called 911 with her cell phone and tried to stopped the female from leaving the store.

The female suspect pushed the woman and attempted to hit her before both fell to the floor and began to wrestle, the report said.
The suspect was holding the woman down on the floor when the male suspect returned to the store and grabbed the victim.
The woman told police the man had her in a choke hold before a witness yelled to let her go, the report said.
The man took the victim's cell phone, which had fallen on the ground, and walked outside the store.
Both suspects left the store in a green Nissan Maxima heading toward Lake Murray Boulevard, according to the report.
The female is described as having long black hair and was wearing a black sweater and a red skirt. The male was bald, wearing a grey shirt and blue jeans.
