Irmo Resident Amy Miller Recognized with the 2025 Evelyn Ireland Volunteer Award

In celebration of her outstanding volunteer achievements, the National Association of Dental Plans (NADP) recently recognized Irmo resident, Amy Miller, with the 2025 Evelyn Ireland Volunteer Award at the organization’s annual CONVERGE conference. She was among 10 NADP members honored for the volunteer contributions necessary for the association to accomplish its mission to promote and advance the dental benefits industry and improve consumer access to affordable, quality dental care.

Miller is the regional vice president of sales and account management at Columbia-based Delta Dental of South Carolina, which is a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization, leading dental benefits provider and oral health philanthropist. She has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, including in medical and dental claims, customer service, provider network management, product development and sales.

Miller was recognized for playing a pivotal role in the establishment of the NADP’s Ambassador Program in response to the need for new members attending CONVERGE to connect with non-NADP staff for guidance and assistance. NADP’s education workgroup, in conjunction with its membership workgroup, developed the program. Each year, 10 NADP members volunteer to serve as ambassadors at the annual NADP conference. Ambassadors provide guidance during online discussions leading up to the event and are identifiable at the conference by their ambassador pins, enabling them to assist participants as needed. Each ambassador has attended at least three in-person conferences.
