Irmo's Farmers Market Kicks Off Saturday

The first farmers market in Irmo will kick off this Saturday near the town park.

Twenty-five vendors — farmers, artisans/crafters, non-profit groups and sellers of prepared/processed foods — have signed up to sell their locally produced items.

A grand opening/ribbon cutting will be held at 8:45 a.m. at the town park.

The farmers market will be held 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the first and third Saturdays on Carlisle Street.

In addition to shopping, guest can exercise through yoga in the park starting at 9:15 a.m. and a boot camp at 10:15 a.m. String Theory, a local band, will perform starting at 9 a.m.
