The defense brought several witnesses to the stand last week, including - the day his wife, Tammy Parker, and gambling partner, Bryan Capnerhurst, were found dead inside his Ascot Estates home.
Brett Parker's attorneys say Capnerhurst shot Tammy Parker, and Brett Parker then acted in defense and shot Capnerhurst.

The defense also called Brett Parker's 14-year-old daughter to the stand last week. She testified that she heard her father telling Capnerhurst he needed a gun for protection. Brett Parker claims that he gave Capnerhurst a gun that Capnerhurst later used to shoot Tammy Parker.
But prosecutors say Brett Parker shot his wife and framed Capnerhurst for it as part of a plan to collect more than $1 million in insurance money to pay off his gambling debt and get out of his marriage.
Family and friends of Capnerhurst's who testified for the prosecution said Capnerhurst never owned a gun and never talked about them, according to a report in The State.
A Columbia man serving time in federal prison after pleading guilty to a gambling charge also testified, giving the jury a look into Brett Parker's gambling debts, according to WIS. He said that Brett Parker owed him $175,000 and was paying it off in $5,000 or $10,000 increments.
Testimony also revealed that both Brett Parker and Tammy Parker had affairs, according to a report from ABC Columbia. The prosecution called both of their ex-lovers to the stand.
