Karen Owens Named Chapin Chamber's New Executive Director

The Chapin Chamber of Commerce has a new leader. 

Karen Owens, a public relations profesisonal from Chapin and , has been named the new executive director.

Owens will start the job Monday at Chapin's Labor Day Festival, according to a report from Midlands Biz.

Owens has worked in public relations and marketing for the past 25 years. In 2009, she started her own consulting firm Karen Owens Communications. 

She also runs her own blog, Chapin Chatter, which highlights local businesses, news and events in Chapin.
