Lake Murray Boat Club Offers Free Safety Kits
The kits, along with loaner children's life jackets, will be available through Saturday at the Lake Murray Boat Club.

Lake Murray Boat Club is offering free safety kits and loaner children's life jackets to families to keep them safe on the water during Fourth of July celebrations.
The safety kits and children's life vests are available to the public now through Saturday - the day of lake Murray's annual fireworks display.
Safety kits include glow sticks in case a boat's navigation lights fail, whistles, first aid kits and a DNR boating handbook.
Lake Murray Boat Club has offered the glow sticks to boaters in the past, but decided to partner with Sea Tow of Lake Murray, a 24 hour on-water boat service company, this year to offer loaner children's life jackets.
The companies say many boaters have plenty of adult life vests but not enough for children.
Boaters can pick up the safety kits and life jackets at the Lake Murray Boat Club located in the Marina Center building at 1602 Marina Road, Suite B in Irmo. They will be available between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. through Saturday.
