Leesville Man Arrested for Car Break-ins

Pond Branch Road resident detained motor vehicle break-in suspect until deputies arrived.

A 19-year-old Leesville man has been charged with breaking into a motor vehicle for allegedly stealing two GPS devices and three diamond rings from vehicles parked outside two homes near Leesville.

Michael Joseph Doyle, 19, of 148 Marcellus Road, Leesville, was arrested and charged with two counts of breaking into a motor vehicle.

Around 10:50 p.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to a call about a motor vehicle break-in on Pond Branch Road, according to Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts.

When deputies arrived, a resident who lived on Pond Branch Road was detaining Doyle.

Police say two GPS devices and three diamond rings worth $2,600 was found in Doyle’s possession.

Doyle’s bail has been set at $10,000 and he is currently being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.
