Letter to the Editor: Clear Choice for Lexington County Coroner

A reader urges voters to pick the 'clear choice' in the race for Lexington County Coroner.

In the Republican primary for Coroner, much has been made of a clear
choice. I could not agree more. Frank Barron has run a campaign based
on "Saving Lives." The idea of a Coroner saving lives has been
discounted by Frank's opponents, but should be given much thought by
the voters of Lexington County.

Frank has been officially and personally involved for years in suicide
and accident prevention and legislation regarding seat belt use. Frank
has also been involved in programs in South Carolina schools like
Alive at 25 and other safety programs designed to save lives. Just
months ago, Frank worked with the administration of Lexington District
Two to introduced Alive at 25 to their schools.

Clear choice? Do the citizens of Lexington County want a Coroner who
is willing to go the extra mile to protect lives as well as be a fair
and impartial part of the Law Enforcement community? Now that's a
clear choice.

I would urge each voter to weigh those points when they vote on June
12.  Anyone can sign a death certificate. Lexington County deserves
more than that, and Frank Barron is offering it.
