Lexington Man Electroctued by Downed Power Line

Lexington County Coroner identifies a man that was electrocuted after his vehicle struck a utility pole on Kyzer Road.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office is investigating a single-car accident of a Lexington man who was electrocuted after his vehicle struck a utility pole early Tuesday morning.       

George Magoolaghan, 38, was driving a Honda Odyssey on the 400 block of Kyzer Road when he lost control of the vehicle and hit a utility pole, according to Lexington County Coroner Harry O. Harman.

Magoolaghan came in contact with a downed power line after he got out of his vehicle and was electrocuted.

Magoolaghan was pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries he received, according to Harmon.

The accident remains under investigation by the Lexington County Coroner’s Office.
