Lexington Teen Dies in Pickup Wreck
Lexington County Coroner Harry O. Harman identifies 17-year-old boy who was the passenger in a wreck on Founders Road.

A Lexington teenager died Wednesday from injuries sustained after the pickup truck he was riding in crashed on Founders Road in Lexington County.
Lexington County Coroner Harry O. Harman identified Jonathan Lee Humphrey, II, 17, as the passenger of a Ford Ranger pickup that wrecked on Founders Road near Longview Road at 3:22 p.m. Tuesday.
According to S.C. Highway Patrol Cpl. Bob Beres, the driver of the vehicle David C. Onley, 45, of Gaston, has been charged with felony driving under the influence involving a death.

Neither Onley or Humphrey was wearing a seatbelt, Beres said.
Humphrey was transported to Palmetto Health Richland Hospital Tuesday and died from injuries he received in the accident.

The accident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol MAIT unit and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office.
