Local Lawmakers Fare Well on Haley Report Card

Three of four legislators receive an "A" on the 2011 Legislative Report Card for the General Assembly

State legislators representing the Irmo-Seven Oaks area scored high on Republican Gov. Nikki Haley's 2011 Legislative Report Card.

On Monday, Haley released grades on how legislators voted for bills on her agenda. In March, Haley released a letter saying the report card will be used to "track the results of legislation" that are important to what voters elected her to accomplish.

Some of those items on Haley's agenda include tort reform, merging the Department of Probation, Pardon and Parole into the Department of Corrections and the creation of a Department of Administration.
