Man Arrested in Hit-and-Run Death

The S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the death of a woman hit and killed on Interstate 26.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a hit-and-run death of a woman on Interstate 26, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.

Lyson Soram is charged with leaving the scene with a death involved, according to Senior Trooper Brent Kelly.

Soram, who was arrested after police received a tip, is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.

According to Coroner Harry O. Harman, Miranda Jeanette Senn, 31, of West Columbia, was driving a moped eastbound on I-26 Saturday when an unknown vehicle, which left the scene, struck her.

Senn was pronounced at the scene from the injuries she received in the accident.

Police say Soram was driving a 2002 Dodge minivan.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the S.C. Highway Patrol MAIT Team are still investigating the accident.
