Man Found Shot, Dead at Home in Lexington County
Lexington County Sheriff's Department seeking public's help in homicide

Lexington County Sheriff’s Department deputies are investigating the death of a man that had been shot and killed in his home near Chapin on Friday.
About 12:15 p.m. deputies arrived to a home at 304 Meadowlark Road near Chapin and found David Kent Cannon, 50, apparently dead with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso, Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said.
The Lexington County Coroner's Office later pronounced Cannon dead.

Investigators say an unknown suspect accosted Cannon in his home where he was fatally shot sometime between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Friday.
Investigators also say the murder was not a random act and they believe there is a connection between Cannon and his assailant, Metts said.
