Man Wanted for Assaulting Juvenile in West Columbia
The West Columbia Police Department is looking for a man who allegedly inappropriately touched a juvenile after giving the victim a ride.

The West Columbia Police Department is looking for a man who allegedly inappropriately touched a juvenile.
The incident happened on April 8 shortly after 6 p.m., according to a release.
The victim was walking on Knox Abbot Drive in Cayce when the victim accepted a ride from the suspect. The unknown male began driving erratically and the victim asked to be let out of the vehicle.

Instead of letting the victim out of the vehicle, the suspect pulled into a parking lot at 1303 Charleston Highway, according to the department.
Police say the man then inappropriately touched the victim and made a sexual reference. The victim got out of the vehicle and called police.

Police are searching for a white male with gray hair. The suspect is said to be between the ages of 60 and 70, and was wearing large sunglasses.
Photos show the suspect was seen driving a 2009-2011 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen with black rims, according to the department.
