A man who said he had an affair with Tammy Parker testified in the Brett Parker murder trial Wednesday, according to reports.
Ben Staples, 62, a longtime friend of Tammy Parker, said she told him she was unhappy in her marriage to Brett Parker, according to WIS. Staples and Tammy Parker became intimate in 2010, ended it the same year and remained friends until Tammy was killed in April 2012.
Tammy's husband Brett Parker is charged with two counts of murder for her death and the death of Bryan Capnerhurst, his gambling partner.

Staples, who often did taxes for the Parker family, said he gave Brett Parker advice on how to handle Tammy's life insurance benefit and other money after her death, according to a report in The State. He said he was the one who convinced Brett Parker to put the money into a trust for his kids. He told Parker he would never be able to keep the money after a federal investigation was opened into the family's gambling income.
Sheriff Leon Lott also testified Wednesday. Read more from The State.
