A motorcycle driver died after running into another car on Chapin Road Saturday afternoon.  The motorcyclist was driving east on Chapin Road around 4:35 p.m. when he illegally tried to pass a car in front of him, Lance Cpl. Sunny Collins said. He ran into a 2010 Pontiac that was traveling west.  The motorcycle driver, whose identity has not been released by the coroner's office, was not wearing a helmet. No charges will be filed because the motorcycle driver was trying to pass illegally, Collins said. The S.C. Highway Patrol is still investigating the wreck.
